Chandigarh Goes Mask Free As COVID-19 Restrictions Lifted
The administration of Chandigarh (UT) lifted all the COVID-19 restrictions, implemented in 2020, when the first wave of the Chinese virus broke out. As the COVID-19 cases are declining, the Chandigarh government lifted restrictions like curfew, mask-wearing, and social distancing, under section 22 of the Disaster Management Act. Furthermore, there will be no penalty for not wearing face masks in public places. The revoked restrictions come into effect immediately.
