Chennai's Kings Outshine Royals Of Rajasthan To Bag Second Win
An all-round performance by Chennai Super Kings against Rajasthan Royals in match 12 of the IPL 2021 brings their second victory in the league. Going by the dew factor in Mumbai's Wankhede, Royal's skipper Sanju Samson decided to chase. Although no CSK batsman put big individual score, the team was able to post 188 runs at 9 wickets, credit of which goes to several quickfire knocks. Having a par target in focus, Royals failed miserably in middle overs. RR seemed in contest only till Jos Buttler was on the crease. He scored 49 runs off 35 balls to keep the RR in the race. However, the crucial wicket of Buttler was the twist in the tale that resulted in the tumbling of wickets at both the end. While game changer Ravindra Jadeja anchored the Royals' fall, Moeen Ali helped in causing further damage by conceding just 7 runs in 3 overs and picking 3 crucial wickets. Interestingly, this was the first match that CSK has won defending in Wankhede stadium.
