Chhatisgarh Police Translates UN's Human Rights Doc In Gondi Dialect
Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada police have translated the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) document in Gondi - a tribal dialect. With over 500 translations, the UDHR aims at empowering the Maoist-hit tribal population. The police have released the document along with audio format at the first-ever Human Rights seminar of Dantewada, attended by activists, academicians and media. Reportedly, nearly 2 million people in MP, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh speak the dialect.
