Chhattisgarh CM Suspends Collector Seen Slapping Man In Viral Video
Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel on May 23 suspended Surajpur District Collector Ranbir Sharma, after a video showing the IAS officer slapping a man went viral. In the viral video, the collector can be seen slapping the man and even slamming his phone on the ground. Although the officer apologised later, he said, "We have to be a little strict with people to ensure that lockdown norms are followed."
