Chinese CPU Makers Launch a Standalone GPU, Competes with AMD and NVIDIA
Zhaoxin, a renowned x86 processor chipset (CPU) makers from China, unveiled a standalone GPU that they are making. The first chip is a low-cost 70w GPU. The heat emitted from the GPU is too high for laptops, but fair enough for desktops. It's a puzzle as to how Zhaoxin is going to compete with major discrete Graphics Processor (GPU) manufacturers AMD and NVIDIA.
