Climate Change: Weakened La Niña Likely To Make March-May Warmer
As some Indian states faced 5-7 degree increased temperature during January-February, the India Meteorological Department has alarmed various regions of the country for the same during March-May. The IMD cited the climate change and said the cooling phase of the El Niño Southern Oscillation cycle, La Niña, has substantially faded, prompting an increase in global temperature. Experts included north-west, north-east, and parts of central and coastal areas of Peninsular India in the temperature change list.
