Climatologists Warn Over Shrinking Of Climate Sensitive Glaciers

Various climatologists have warned people about the climate-sensitive, rapidly melting Himalayan glaciers that might cause more calamities like the Uttarakhand glacier disaster. While the current Himalayan repercussions were already forecasted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, another study apprised of deglaciation in the Himalayas. Citing global warming as a major reason, various studies by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), JNU’s Institute of Environmental Science have already posed concerns.
