Co-driver Airbag Compulsory For India-Made Cars From Aug 31
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has announced that dual front airbags will be mandatory for all cars manufactured in India from August 31. For the new models that will enter the Indian market, the rule will be effective from April 1 itself. Currently, co-driver airbag is an optional feature that has been provided by some car brands. With the new rule in place, revision of car prices is also expected.
