Coca-Cola to Lay Off Workers Across Globe Due to Covid-19-induced Losses
Beverage giant Coca-cola has decided to lay off its employees globally due to a decline in sales. The response came after a fall in demand for its products during Covid-19 pandemic. Reportedly, out of its 86,200 workers, around 4,000 will be offered "voluntary separation" in the North American regions and an undisclosed number in other countries. The company stated that it is also reducing its operating units from 17 to nine.
