Committee Sanctioned For Human-Wildlife Conflict Mitigation In Telangana
Amid rising cases of wild animal attacks resulting damages to crops and human habitations, the Telangana government ordered a ten-member committee to recommend measures for human-animal conflict mitigation. Additionally, the panel will revise the existing compensation package and suggest guidelines for settling applications against human death / injury, cattle kills and crop damages. Chaired by the Forest Minister, the committee has been mandated to submit its report within three months.
