Coral Reef Taller Than Eiffel Tower Found In Australia

A huge, detached coral reef taller than the Empire State Building and Eiffel Tower has been discovered in the Great Barrier Reef by Australian scientists. The blade-like reef, which is the first discovery in 120 years, is 500 meters tall and 1.5 kilometers wide and located 40 meters below the ocean surface. Dr. Robin Beaman-led team using an underwater robot, SuBastian, found the reef and further filmed the exploration and collected samples.
