Corbett Reserve Stretch Plans Bird Census From Feb 16, After 13 Year
To give thrust to avian conservation, the Uttarakhand forest department is planning to conduct bird census in the Corbett Tiger Reserve landscape from February 16-18. Sensing a possibility of over 600 bird species in the landscape, the census to be conducted after the 13-year gap would cover 12 ranges of Kalagarh tiger reserve and Ramnagar forest division. Moreover, the department will adopt a sighting method and will deploy 21 teams having five-members each.
