Covid-19: Andhra Records Low Mortality Rate, Implements Aggressive Testing

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy on August 11, reassured that the state could maintain a low mortality rate of 0.89% by inculcating the strategy of aggressive testing and contact tracing. He further appreciated the improvement of the state infrastructure in terms of testing labs and hospitals for COVID-19. The state comprises of 138 Covid Care Hospitals with 37,189 beds and 109 Covid Care Centres with 56,000-bed capacity.
