COVID-19: INS Shradul Sets Sail To Kuwait To Ferry Oxygen Tankers

Under Operation Samudra Sethu II, Navy’s INS Shardul vessel on May 4 set sail to Kuwait to bring medical oxygen containers. Reportedly, Indian Navy has deployed several ships to supplement the ongoing national mission ‘Oxygen Express’. Earlier, under Operation Samudra Sethu, INS Shardul was also used to bring ex-pats stranded in foreign countries during COVID. First of the Shardul class, INS Shardul is designed to carry tanks, trucks and troops.
