Switzerland mobilizes 2,500 soldiers to fight against COVID-19

COVID-19 Updates: 2,500 Soldiers Deployed In Switzerland To Help Health Workers

The Federal Council announced that Switzerland is set to mobilize 2,500 soldiers as COVID-19 cases rise daily. The military will be assisting in procuring technical equipment, ICU units and medical-transportation-vehicles to the public health-sector across different cantons (provinces) of the country. The order regarding the mobilization will be valid till March 31, 2021. Earlier, the country had mobilized soldiers when Switzerland hit the first phase of the virus in March.
