Covid-19 Vaccine: India in Talks with Russia, RDIF Seeks to Partner with India

The Union Health Ministry on August 25, stated that India is communicating with Russia regarding the Russian COVID-19 vaccine, Sputnik-V. The Health Ministry Secretary, Rajesh Bhushan said, "both the countries are in communication. Some initial information has been shared while some detailed information is awaited". The CEO of RDIF, a government establishment which played a key role in developing Sputnik -V, said that they are looking to partner with India for the vaccine's mass production.
