CSK's Last Ball Win Oust KKR Of Qualifiers; Rituraj Shines Again
With a last-ball win, Chennai Super Kings have spoiled the Kolkata Knight Riders' chances of making to playoffs. Chasing 172, Super Kings started well as Rituraj Gaikwad, Chennai's last match hero, pulled the things with good intent. However, Rayudu failed once again to convert the good start into match-winning knock. Dhoni too went in quick succession as Chakravarthy bowled him out for the second time in this IPL. Seeing wickets falling at other end, Gaikwad picked his inning from the last match and made the chase quite comfortable for CSK with his composed 52-ball 72-runs before getting bowled by Cummins. Later, the 15 run per over tranche of runs were nail-bitingly finished by Jadeja as he sealed the match with sixes on last two balls. Earlier, KKR once again failed miserably by shuffling their batting order but Nitish Rana's 87 of 61 balls helped Knight Riders to put a decent total.
