Data Privacy Lawsuit Filed Against Google for Monitoring User Activity

Another data privacy lawsuit was filed by law firm Boies Schiller Flexner on behalf of a few individuals, seeking class-action status. They stated that Alphabet Inc.’s Google, through its firebase in the app, is violating the federal wiretap law and California privacy law by recording users’ mobile apps, even after they disable 'web and application activity' from their 'Privacy Restrictions,' the company's recommended settings to stop tracking.
