DCGI Approves India's First Vaccine for Covid-19, Set for Human Testing

India's first potential Covid-19 vaccine has been approved by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) and is all set for human testing Phase I and II which is planned to begin in mid-July across the country. COVAXIN has been manufactured by Bharat-biotech, Hyderabad in association with ICMR and has been formed from strain of infectious SARS-coV-2 virus.This drug is expected to show promising results.
