Delhi Court rejects activist Safoora Zargar bail plea in Delhi riots case

Delhi court dismissed the bail application of activist Safoora Zargar, arrested in connection with the north-east Delhi riots of February, and charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Special Judge Dharmendra Rana said, ÔÇ£there is prima facie evidence to show that there was a conspiracy." "The police had rightly invoked the UAPA and it can be proved from the material on record."
