Delhi HC Directs Railways To Submit Report Regarding Contaminated Water Supply Allegations

The Delhi High Court bench led by CJ Satish Chandra Sharma, including Subramounium Prasad, asked the Indian Railways to file a fresh status report in a matter relating to the alleged supply of contaminated drinking water to passengers. Petitioners also mentioned manipulation in the award of contracts for setting up chlorination plants. Notably, the petitioner's counsel also informed that the last status report was filed by Railways in October 2019.
