Delhi HC Issues Bail To Riot Accused After 10 Months Of Imprisonment

Lacking reliable evidence, the Delhi High Court used a video telecasted on NDTV's "Primetime with Ravish Kumar" to acquit three accused imprisoned over Delhi riots case. The accused were in custody since April 2020 over allegations of firing and stone-pelting on Hindu groups, besides killing Shahid. Although the prosecution cited video as a proof, the HC, realising the defendant's evidential non-recognition and inconsistency with Shahid's wounds, sanctioned the acquittal.
