Delhi HC Seeks Centre, NIFT's Response Against Fee Hike

Delhi High Court has directed the Centre and the National Institute of Fashion Technology to respond on students’ petition to revoke the fee hike during COVID-19. The plea was earlier rejected by a single-judge bench citing it cannot be observed as oppressive. Reportedly, the premier fashion technology institute had increased the fees by 10% for NRI quota and 5% for non-NRI quota students, which the students claimed as a violation of the NIFT Act 2006.
