Delhi Police Arrest Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor During Congress Protest Against GST, Inflation

Police arrested Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi and several MPs, including Shashi Tharoor, at Vijay Chowk in New Delhi during a countrywide protest over increasing prices and unemployment. "Our job is to raise the issues of the people... Some MPs detained, also beaten," stated Rahul Gandhi at Vijay Chowk. Despite the rain, workers at the party's headquarters in Delhi were seen demonstrating, as did protesters in Mumbai and Assam.
