Drinking Alcohol At Young Age Can Cause Arterial Stiffness: Study

As per a recent study from European Society of Cardiology, drinking alcohol during youth to early adulthood is related with accelerated arterial stiffness- a precondition of cardiovascular disease. Mr. Hugo Walford, medical student at University College London, stated, "there was some evidence of a graded increase with heavier usage, meaning that the more you drink, the greater the increase in arterial stiffness." It is also linked with higher risk of heart-stroke.
