Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched instant allotment of online Permanent Account Number (PAN) card on May 28. The facility is a paper-less, free of cost and on real-time basis facility. 

The process for allotment will take only 10 minutes. Linking of mobile number with Aadhaar is mandatory for this process. The application is available on the income tax department website.
