Earthquake Of 6.8 Magnitude Jolts China’s Sichuan; 65 Dead, 16 Missing
In China’s Sichuan province, an earthquake of 6.8 magnitude on the Richter scale hit the mountainous area in Luding county, on September 6. The earthquake set off landslides and shook buildings, killing as many as 65 people and leaving hundreds injured. Moreover, at least 16 people are missing. The earthquake shook buildings in the capital city of Chengdu, which is currently under a COVID-19 lockdown.
