EC Extends Polling Time By 30 Mins For Phase-1 Bengal Election

During the first phase of West Bengal Assembly polls, the Election Commission has requested to extend the polling time by 30 minutes. Notably, citing the ongoing COVID-19 situation the EC officials has scheduled the voting time from 7AM to 6:30PM. The announcements were revealed by commission as the eastern state heads to conduct Phase-1 election scheduled on March 27. The EC earlier announced Bengal elections to be conducted in eight phases.
