EC Seeks Clarification From Akhilesh Yadav Over Violation Of COVID Protocols

The Election Commission has demanded an answer from the Samajwadi Party (SP) before 5PM on January 16, for the violation of COVID norms at the 'Virtual Rally'. According to sources, the party was permitted to conduct meetings via online, but almost 2000 SP supporters gathered at the party's office in Lucknow on January 14. However, multiple FIR's have been filed against the party. Moreover, the UP polling will start from February 10.
