ED Detains Anil Deshmukh In Relation With Money Laundering Probe

Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh on November 2, in association with a money laundering case after more than 13 hours of questioning. After former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh lodged corruption charges against him, he stood down as state home minister in April of this year. He arrived in court at 12 a.m. on November 1 after ignoring five summons given by the agency.
