A study by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) has indicated that South Asians are more likely to contract COVID-19 in England. Published in the 'Lancet' journal on April 30, the study suggested that during the second wave, the Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Indians were most vulnerable. It cited health factors such as BMI, blood pressure and underlying health conditions among others as the reasons behind this.
