Environment Minister Virtually Launches Biomass Plant To Curb Air Pollution
Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar virtually launched a demonstration of biomass plant at Pune. The plant produces compressed biogas from biomass which will help in curbing pollution. He also announced setting-up of a commission led by MM Kutty, former Chief secretary of Delhi, to fight air pollution along with adjoining states. Javadekar was addressing a meeting called on to discuss the steps to combat air pollution and chalk a permanent solution.
