Ex-Australian Swimmer Brenton Rickard Tests Positive For Drugs After 8 Years

Former Australian Olympic swimmer Brenton Rickard on November 6 tested positive for banned substance, furosemide, after a re-analysis was done for the sample collected during the 2012 London Games. The result implies that six Australian swimmers including Rickard, who were part of the men’s 4x100 meter medley team, will lose their bronze medals. However, the swimmer refused the claims and stated that the situation was his “worst nightmare”.
