Exams for Intermediary Semester Students; Karnataka's KSLU Announces Offline Exam
The Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) on August 13, circulated a document across all the law colleges affiliated to the board. The document was an announcement on the offline exams to be conducted for students of all the semesters, including the intermediary semesters, scheduled to start from September 21. There are about 106 colleges which are affiliated to KSLU across the state of Karnataka. The document also provides a deadline on August 24, within which the students will have to pay the exam fee of Rs 965.
Students from various states are instructed to plan their travel accordingly, and appear for the exams. The notice sent by the board has immediately created panic among the class groups, as students fear how the offline exams would be held amid the ongoing pandemic, the unavailability of PGs and hostels, and the high risk of infection during the travel.
When Brifly Team approached the students to record their statements, the students were so scared that they didn't want to express their opinions on the matter, as they feared their institutions might take action against them. However, the students were worried about appearing for the exam amid rising number of Covid-19 cases in Karnataka.
