Facebook Shuts Down Lasso After TikTok Ban

From July 10, Facebook will take down Lasso, a short-form video creating app, to focus bringing in Instagram Reels, a program similar to TikTok that lets users create and share short-form videos in Instagram stories. Facebook is hoping Reels acts as a substitute for TikTok, drawing in its user base. Lasso has reached only five million views since its inception in 2018.
