Famous Gangster Arun Gawli Released On Parole For Wife's Surgery

Gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli has been granted 45-day parole by the Nagpur bench of Bombay HC, citing his wife's failing health. Reportedly, he had joined underworld in 1970s, famously known as the 'Daddy' of Dagdi Chawl. Gawli, currently serving his life sentence was arrested in 2008, and was convicted for the murder of a Shiv Sena corporator in 2012. Moreover, actor Arjun Rampal played the role of Gawli in the starrer movie "Daddy".
