Fare Concession For Domestic Flyers Carrying No Baggage: DGCA
In a major relief to flyers, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has allowed domestic flight operators to offer concession on "no baggage" or "only cabin baggage" journeys. However, passengers will have to declare the baggage's weight while booking the tickets in order to avail the concession. The DGCA has also allowed charging of various services, including preferential seating, airline lounges, and meal-snack-drink charges among others, separately on opt-in basis.
