Farmers' Leader, Punjabi Actor Among 40 To Be Questioned By NIA
The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has summoned 40 people including farmers' leader Baldev Singh Sirsa and actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu for questioning on January 17. They have been called to appear before the agency's New Delhi headquarters as witnesses in a case related to the US-based secessionist group ‘Sikhs for Justice (SFJ)’. However, Punjabi actor Sidhu alleged that this move has been made to demoralize him from participating in farmers' agitation against contentious farm bills.
