FASTag Deemed Compulsory Starting February 15/16 Midnight

The Transport Ministry on February 14 mandated FASTag for all vehicles starting February 15/16 midnight. The order stated that all lanes of toll plazas on National Highways would become FASTag lanes and would be charged double for no FASTag. While the government in November announced to mandate FASTag from January 1 2021, on old vehicles sold before December 1, 2017, it deferred the deadline further to February 14.
