'Fear of Loosing Job' Forced 50-Year-Old to Pass Class XII Exam

A quinquagenarian from a small village in Meghalaya passed her HSSLC (Arts) Examination at the age of 50. Lakyntiew Syiemlie is a teacher at her village, a single mother of four and is blessed with two grandchildren. She had dropped out of school 32 years ago. "Fear of losing job made me write this exam, as it's the only source of income" she said.
