Fearing Lockdown, Migrant Workers Start Returning To Native Places
The coronavirus' second wave-led local restrictions have prompted migrant workers to return to their native places as they fear of another nationwide lockdown. Reportedly, each day, hundreds of migrant workers are travelling back to their home states. While some of them are willingly returning, others have been asked by their employers. "We are keeping an eye on the inflow of workers during the second wave," said a labour department official.
