First Zika Virus Case Detected In Uttar Pradesh: Kanpur
Dr. Nepal Singh, Kanpur's Chief-Medical-Officer, said on October 24 that the first case of Zika-virus has been detected in Kanpur. Reportedly, the patient is an Indian Air Force officer. Zika-virus was originally discovered in Kerala, Maharashtra, then in Uttar Pradesh. It is caused by a virus that is predominantly spread by Aedes mosquitos, which bite during the day. Mild fever, rash, conjunctivitis, muscle-and-joint discomfort, malaise, or headache are few symptoms.
