UP: Flute Manufacturing Hub Pilibhit Unveils 'Bansuri Chowk'

Tracing Bareilly's Jhumka chowk, Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit on February 16 constructed its 'Bansuri Chowk' at the city's entry point. Paying homage to Pilibhit's relevance as a 150-year-old flute manufacturing hub, the Chowk houses a colossal metallic flute replica supported by a pair of hands. Touted as 'selfie point,' the development honours the district's feat of producing 90% of flute produced in India. Reportedly, the project comes under the state's one-district-one-product programme.
