Former French President Valery Giscard d`Estaing Dies Of COVID At 94
Former French President Valery Giscard d`Estaing has died at the age of 94 due to COVID-19. Termed as the architect of modern French society, the former president decriminalized abortion in 1974 and also lowered the voting age from 21 to 18. Valery also helped to launch the country's high-speed train service, the 'TGV'. "Worked his whole life to reinforce relations between European nations," said former President Nicolas Sarkozy.
