Four States Write to Centre, Reject Proposal on GST compensation Payment

Four non-BJP state's CMs have written to the PM and Finance Minister, rejecting Centre's proposal on GST compensation payment. Earlier, the Centre had told that states could borrow to meet the compensation deficit under the GST regime. However, the sates have opined that the Centre should borrow funds, and they can extend the cess to recoup this amount. The four states concerned are Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, and Chattisgarh.
