Goa Cabinet Approves 'Tourism Policy 2020'; Plans To Mitigate Drugs
Goa Cabinet on October 14 approved the 'Tourism Policy 2020'. Speaking about the policy, State tourism minister, Manohar Ajgaonkar said the policy aims to give a "proper direction to the industry" and mitigate drugs in the state. He opined that the state should not be seen as a “drug destination.” Cooking in open spaces will be prohibited for tourists. Further, the policy aims to set up a Goa Tourism board.
