Goa: CM Sawant Withdraws Ganesh Chaturthi SOPs

The Goa government on September 7 withdrew the 'Standard Operating Procedures' (SOPs) issued for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival after CM Pramod Sawant expressed his disapproval on Twitter. While telling the importance of the festival, Sawant said he personally doesn't agree with a guideline that stops ''priests from going to individual households for puja''. However, there is no official information on whether the govt will issue new SOPs.
