Google for India, 2020: Google Supports PM Modi's Vision for 'Digital India'

On Monday, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and Google Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sundar Pichai interacted after which, Sundar Pichai tweeted that Google will be investing a USD 10 Billion Dollar Digitization Fund to India as a part of 'Google for India'. "We’re proud to support PM Narendra Modi's vision for Digital India," he Tweeted. He also added that this investment is to 'accelerate' India's digital economy. It is believed that the funds will be invested within the next three to seven years.
