Google Maps To Soon Include "Eco-Friendly" Routes For Drivers
Google's web mapping application Google Maps on March 31 announced to soon offer "eco-friendly" routes for drivers. The routes, based on traffic, slopes and other factors, will aim to generate the lowest carbon emissions. Although set as default by the company, the feature will allow users to willingly opt-out from the service. To be rolled out for the US initially, it will offer customers a choice to compare the emission rate on different routes.
