Government Issues Notice To Twitter For Wrongly Geotagging Leh
The Indian government on November 9 asked Twitter to explain why it geotagged Leh as a part of Jammu and Kashmir in its map. It served a notice to Twitter, seeking a reply on why legal actions should not be initiated against the latter. Reportedly, if Twitter fails to provide a satisfactory answer within five days, the government will have options of either blocking Twitter's services or file a criminal case against the company.
